NO FOs for me this week

WIPs:

  1. sock blank socks.  I started the 2nd sock of this pair (after months and months and months of not working on it) and I’m super excited about this project again.
  2. Dale socks.  I have detailed project notes about saga of this sock!  The stitch markers I’m using are from sucresucreminiatures on etsy.
  3. Asunder.  I had a bit of a blunder this week while knitting this one.  I accidently forgot that there were rest rows…so now I have to rip rip rip back about 6 rows.  Boo.
  4. Yowza Weigh It Shawl 1.  Picked this up again and it’s going smoothly.  At the time of the taping of the show I have about 170 grams left.
  5. Follow Your Arrow 1.  I didn’t show it this week…but I have about 12 rows left and a bind off.

Spinning:

I worked on my Second Spring fiber from Into the Whirled.  I have spun up the first 2 oz, and I’m ready for the next 2 oz.

  3. Knit 15,000 yds.  So far I’ve knit just under 3000 yds.
  4. Knit 2 sweaters.  So far I haven’t finished any.
  5. Stash Down.  FAIL.
  6. Develop new products for the shop.  I’ve introduced a zippered project bag for the shop, and have several more ideas in the works.

WIPs:

  1. Zombie Champagne socks.  THANKFULLY I was able to salvage a weird mistake that happened during the afterthought heel on these socks, and now I’m back on track.  I’m knitting this to participate in the Desert Vista Dyeworks sock knitalong.  Checkout her ravelry post {here} for more details on this KAL.
  2. Millwater Cowl.  I have decided not to rip this one out and just keep knitting.  It’s going to be gorgeous when it’s all wrapped up and around my neck…and hopefully the colorway differences will not show too badly 🙂
  3. Zombies like Fruitcake socks.

New Kit/Collaboration!  The Je t’aime kit will be available on 1/17/2015 in www.vintageroseloves.com at 8:00 pm EST.  The price for the kit is $78.50.  This is a collaboration with Vanessa of Vintage Rose and Stacie of Must Stash Yarn.

There will be a St. Patrick’s Day themed kit for sale on Feb. 14, 2015.  This collaboration is with Vanessa (Vintage Rose), Cherie (KirbyWirby) and myself.  No sneak peeks yet, but trust me…it’s another one that is AMAZING!

Mardi Gras bags will be in the Suburban Stitcher shop soon!

Spinning:  I finished 2.3 oz of black rainbow rolags from Yarn Geek Fibers.  It is a 160 yd 2-ply skein…approximately sport weight.

  1. Knit more socks than in 2013.  (I knit 12 pairs in 2013, and 11 in 2014)
  2. Knit more sweaters than in 2013.  (I knit 1 in 2013 and 1 in 2014).
  3. Spin more on spindle.  (I spun more than in 2013…but only because I had just purchased the spindle at the very end of 2013).
  4. Purchase a wheel.  (Purchased a Kromski Sonata on 2/15/2014)
  5. Stay consistently at 5 WIPs or less.
  6. Complete 1 quilt.
  7. Complete 1 cross-stitch.
  8. Knit over 5000 yds.  (I knit 32 projects totalling 10,372 yds)

2015 Goals:

  1. Finish at least 1 pair of socks per month.  Motivation for this is the DVD unofficial knitalong in the DVD Ravelry group.
  2. Spin 2 lbs.
  3. Knit 15,000 yds.
  4. Knit 2 sweaters.
  5. Stash Down:
    1. no yarn purchases until DFW
    2. Incoming yardage can only equal 1/2 of what is outgoing
  6. Create new products for the Suburban Stitcher shop.
