In the Burbs:
Monster Cowl KAL is continuing and does end on December 31. Prizes include a sock sized drawstring bag donated by SeashoreSharon, a shawl sized bag from Stitched By Sasha, a sock sack from Studio in the Green, and a set of “Monster” stitch markers by Vintage Rose (donated by Julia…the designer of the Monster Cowl).
Cherie is working on her Ex-Spearmint socks, a Monster Cowl, Ida’s Kitchen Hat in the Waiting on Downton colorway, and the Zombie Teenager socks, all out of her hand-dyed yarn. She is carrying these projects in a Tangerine Designs bag and a Market Bag from The Knotted Bag.
Vanessa is working on Monster Cowls. She is knitting one out of a worsted weight Kirbywirby self striping yarn, and another one out of Sublime yarns in the Lustrous base. She also pulled out an old WIP to try and finish. She also decided to frog an old WIP out of Homespun (and we discovered that we’ve ALL knit scarves out of that yarn). Lastly, Vanessa did swatch for the Halele’a cardigan and will be casting on with the group in the Must Stash Ravelry group.
Dianne is working on the Cranberry Crush Cowl in Miss Babs Yummy yarn in the Cauldron colorway, and the Echoes of Color shawl by Joji Locatelli in 3 colors of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light. I put in one afterthought heel for Jack’s socks, and for some reason I’m procrastinating on the second. I declared my love for the Fish Lips Kiss heel…and we discussed the merits of various types of heels. I also started the Halele’a cardigan this week by swatching for the pattern. The KAL official begins on December 30th.
